We’re shaking things up with something a little different - a modified fun Tetrathlon, adapted into a Triathlon format!

Our three phases will be:

• 🏃‍♂️ Running (or walking!) – distances will be short and manageable, and you can choose to walk or run. Sneakers recommended!

• 🎯 Shooting – learn how to use a laser pistol with targets. Thanks to the Pony Club and Jill Worth, we’ll have two complete sets of laser guns and targets on the day.

• 🐎 Riding – choose your challenge! From poles in the arena to small arena jumps for safety, or XC fences still flagged after the PCE ODE. All riding phases will also include a slip rail and a gate.

We’re thrilled to have Caitlin Worth (Wallangarra Pony Club & Tet superstar) as our steward and scorer for the day. Before we start, Jill Kessell will give a short talk explaining what a Tet/Triathlon is, how it’s scored, and what to expect.

For the riding phase, a mounting block and assistant will be available to help riders get started after dismounting for the slip rail and gate.

​

Riders taking this option will get 1 traditional lesson and 1 tet lesson (ride and shoot etc).

 

Prefer the traditional rally format?
No problem! Normal rally classes will still be available for those who would rather stick to their usual riding program.

 Quick Tips:

• Wear comfortable sneakers for the running/walking phase.

• No prior shooting experience required — you’ll get a practice lesson.

• Fun and participation are the main goals — all welcome!
